His dedication and integrity earned him a role as a detective in the Internal Affairs Division, where he tackled one of the agency’s most demanding assignments—investigating misconduct and ensuring justice for all parties involved.
In 2010, Jeremy’s reputation as a fair and effective communicator led to his appointment as the department’s spokesman. He also played a key role in expanding the department’s social media presence, setting new standards for community outreach and engagement.
Jeremy became a sought-after expert in crisis communications, sharing his knowledge on leveraging social media during high-stakes situations, such as the 2010 Johns Hopkins Hospital shooting. He was also instrumental in managing the department’s communication strategy during the Freddie Gray riots, a pivotal moment in Baltimore’s history.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeremy transitioned to City Hall, where he led a team responsible for public health and safety messaging for Baltimore. Over his career, he served as a trusted advisor to police commissioners and city leaders, a member of the Hostage Negotiation Team, and a liaison to Baltimore’s Jewish community.
After 21 years of dedicated service, Jeremy retired from the Baltimore Police Department and pursued new opportunities, including consulting and serving as Director of Strategic Communications for a large police department in Maryland. He also expanded his impact by leading marketing and communications efforts for a nonprofit organization.
